About
I am a senior Higher Education professional creating meaningful learning experiences while leading through change. I work as a Professor of English at Chestnut Hill College, Chair of CHC’s Center for Integrated Humanities, and editor of The Hemingway Review. At Chestnut Hill, I teach a variety of courses in American literature, gender studies, film, and writing. I’ve published more than twenty articles in scholarly journals and have co-edited three books, Ernest Hemingway in Context (Cambridge UP, 2013) with Debra A. Moddelmog, Ernest Hemingway’s The Garden of Eden: 25 Years of Criticism (Kent State UP, 2012) with Frederic J. Svoboda, and most recently, The New Hemingway Studies with Kirk Curnutt for Cambridge University Press (2020). For the Hemingway Society, I edit and manage all business operations for The Hemingway Review, the Society’s biannual journal, and I serve as the Media Committee chair. My work for the media committee involves overseeing all Hemingway Society media outlets (the journal, the newsletter, the website, and social) as well as planning and executing webinars and online events.
